that is funny bro. Hurts but I have a little extra padding. Hardest part was keeping my leg from falling off.😆

I agree but the wallet doesn't. The turbo will be fine for another 1-2000 miles. That's about 8 months of driving. Seriously this thing well be park most of the year.

That first picture looks like a lot of soot on the firewall in the area behind the baby butt, and at the connection on the pipe. Warrants a closer inspection, may be a good time to install some bellowed up pipes if the stock ones are leaking.

It's not as bad as picture shows. New bellows will go on when I do the turbo rebuild. Thanks

Turbo is back on down pipe clamp on. Up pipes clamp on. Only took about 30minutes. Waiting on some more parts from Riffraff to show up. Maybe another couple of hours and it should be read to go

Well I got my next round of parts from RiffRaff Diesel. I got the plenum inserts and the AIH delete plug. I have to say they do some really nice work and very good prices. I work for a CNC machine shop and could have easily had these parts made in the shop for nearly nothing but I have a good idea about what it takes to make these parts and I must say the price is totally reasonable. To be honest the quality on these parts, knowing what it takes to make them, and taking into account the limited market you just can’t help but send them money. I’m totally impressed and have no doubt that RiffRaff is a straight up honest company and will be happy to continue to spend money there.

Truck is all back together and running very well. No more big oil leak.

Next up is I ordered a issopro fuel pressure gauge and column mount kit from RiffRaff. That will be installed along with a new drain valve that is missing.

I also ordered all new coolant hoses including heater hoses from RockAuto I will do a complete coolant flush and replace the hoses thermostat and thermostat housing.

It's been a few weeks and the truck is running great. Took it on its first camping off road trip. Still trying to recover from all the $$ spent getting it to this point so it will be awhile before anything else gets done. Next up is a turbo. Now that it is getting full oil pressure she is blowing more then before. I'm driving the DD so the F250 is parked all week and only driven on weekends for now. I got a free set of factory ford manual from a friend.

Picture from last weekends trip and a desert clean up event.

Not a lot done on the truck lately, Had to put on new front calipers and pads. I also found a used ladder rack locally for $200. It will be used for hauling tubing for the race car I'm building and also a roof top tent.

Had a Chicka clip my rear bumper, I plan to build my own someday so not that big of deal. She had no DL or ID.

I towed my buddy's race car for him last weekend, about 250 miles round trip. Truck did great.

I recently complete the Hutch and Harpoon mod. Waited until I was below a 1/4 tank and just followed the many instruction on this forum. Bought all the parts local my guess is I have 20-30 bucks in to it including the PVC cut off tool.

I'm using as a prefilter a Holley 162-551 100 micron filter that I got from amazon for $78 buck but I also got a spare filt that I'm going to throw into the glove box. They are SS mesh so you can clean it but if It clogs on the road it will be a quick fix.

Amazon Amazon

Next up is a By-pass oil filter set up that I got all the parts from Amazon also except all the XRP fitting and hose that I buoght through work. Total I;m guess about $200 buck into the project so far.

Are you using the longer extended life oil filter Fleetguard LF 9691 or Donaldson DBL 7405?

Right now I just use a stock Ford filter. The plan is to do a oil change at the same time I add the by-pass filter and I will use the standard ford filter. Drive it about 1500 then send out a oil sample for test to get a baseline.

I thought about adding the bypass, but with the Donaldson or Fleetguard incorporating the same media as a bypass in a portion of the filter, I changed my mind and not adding the bypass.
