When I put my 95 12V in my 79 F250 the F250 high pressure PS hose bolted right up to the power steering pump. Can't remember about the low pressure hose.

I might actually call my truck "Mutt" when I am done with the frame off resto. Cummins, transmission, and transfer case out of a Dodge, a factory disc brake 14 bolt out of a Chevy, and lots of Chinese stamped steel to do all the body repairs.

I am sure you realize that the Fummins term is a mix of a Ford truck with a Dodge Cummins swapped in motor. lol

Here is the resident expert in that swap IMO. Ford Truck Enthusiasts Forums - View Profile: co425

Ford used the Cummins for many years in there line of trucks. But they did not market them as Fummins diesels. Just sayin. Carry on.

Right you are, that Fummins term is a younger generation newism term I guess. Specifically related when a 73-79 Ford truck gets a a transplanted 2 nd or 3rd gen Dodge Cummins motor.

Tomato tomatoe.

Hoses

Don't have a Fummins or Ford with a Cummins in it but I did just recently route my PS hoses myself on my 76' F250. I had the pressure hose made at a local hose shop and used those nice rubber coated hose clamps to route it up to the pump... I also used some metal zip ties and all in all it doesn't look too redneck and doesn't leak which in itself is a miracle.........good luck

Aeroquip TFE lines -6 an. It is not cheap but is field serviceable. I.E. you can put them together at home with basic hand tools. If you go this route make sure they are tight so they don't seep. Another option is to take it to your local parker hose and fittings or the like. They can find the right fittings and crimp lines for you.

78&79 thanks for the compliment.

Thanks all......the local hose builder says they cant come up with a fitting for the male "bump" O-ring style that I need on the Dodge PS pump........the male inverted flare for the steering gear would not be an issue. I have come up with a way to make it all work.......I will use the original Dodge tube from the pump end and braze a JIC-6 male fitting on it then do the same on the original Ford tube at the steering gear......then its just a piece of -6 hose with a female JIC -6 on each end.........can have the hose built anywhere.....for the return.......will use the original Ford tube and then the Dodge pump has a hose barb on it ........just a piece of 3/8 return hose with hose clamps......that's all that was used on the originals Ford and Dodge

Aeroquip makes the proper o-ring fitting to AN.

I believe it's FBM2608 but double check.

Any idea on a P/N?????? I've looked at Aeroquip, Parker and Russell stuff and have not come up with anything.......I've come up with a solution as described above, but would still like to do it the "right" way......the male inverted flare on the steering gear is not an issue

co425 Thanks!! I'm sorry I missed the P/N in your first post.........I just looked that fitting up and it looks like it may be what I need........however......I just built the fittings and had a hose built yesterday.......it turned out nice enough but still not real convinced its what I want so that P/N will be written down in my build notebook for future reference just in case I end up not liking the setup I built.....Thanks again!!!
