HEEELP! - Exhaust Valve Stem Caps
Well I gave up on the exhaust valve for a minute. Swapped the intake spring on that cylinder. It was fairly easy, the intakes have regular locks.
When I finished the intake I compressed the exhaust valve again, so now I'm stuck. The retainer pulls down fine but I can't remove that cap. Can't find any info on it in the book or locally.

Out of curiosity at what your talking about, I decided to look around a bit.

Unfortunately that's all it said about them.
That's the way it usually works for me too. When I need info from a repair manual, it's for something the repair manual doesn't cover.
Good luck.

The exhaust valve stems, on some engines, are equipped with small metal caps. Take care not to lose the caps. Make sure to reinstall them at assembly time. Replace any caps that are worn.
