Road Trip to Idaho for parts

That's not just a yard, it's a museum! There would be a lot of pictures taken in there before I even thought about leaving.
As you recall I've got the 1950 M68 Mercury in North Vancouver. I'd love to find a rear bumper, even if it's off a Ford F3; and yep, a jack would be very nice. I will PM you with my cell number in case you want to call/send a photo when you are there.

Golf cart?
Can you imagine if we all met there for a meet-n-greet parts picking party we could use one of these.
Open sides are necessary so you can bail out while it's moving with a 1/2" wrench in one hand, a can of Aerokroil in the other and a pry tool clamped between your teeth.
"I saw the stainless divider bar first!"
"C-mon guys help me with this hood - lash it to the fender of the bus!"
"Was that a ribbed rear bumper? Gimme those binoculars! DRIVER-TAKE A HARD LEFT - I launched a smoke marker at that yellow one in the next row!"
"What are you pointing at? Speak Up! What did you see? Get the cardiac paddles fired up, we have another one down! C,mon take a breath - tell us what you saw before you pass out - we'll get it for you! A rust-free WHAT?"

You better start thinking of charging for your pic taking time because you are going to be there a few days based on all these request. Good luck on finding all YOU need before you start on the list. Have a great safe trip. Remember to tell the wife she looks really good with a little rust, dirt and grease smeared on her face - she'll let you stay an extra day.

^ We have made it to Edmonds Washington today. Already been through a snow storm. That IS part of the fun. Us Canadian guys are a little weird that way. We plan on being there Wednesday/Thursday so it doesn't look that bad. Apparently there is not a whole lot of snow on the ground. https://weather.com/weather/tenday/l...+ID+83355:4:US
Moe, I will certainly keep an eye out for those types of items. Does anyone have a pic of an "illuminated" cigarette lighter that came with some of the 51's? Those are the types of things that are the first to get separated from the mother ship.

Heading over the Snoqualmie Pass today.
A bit of a funny experience at the US Border yesterday.
First question from the border guard. "Where are you going?"
Answer. "Wendell Idaho".
Border guard "That's a new one, why Wendell"?
So I enthusiastically told him about the 120 acres of old auto parts and that we were headed there to see what they had in the way of early Ford truck stuff.
Usually at this point they ask you how long you will be in the country, are you transporting any firearms, how much do you have in the way of alcohol and tobacco, and are you bringing anything into the country that you plan on leaving here.
Instead, he just smirked a little, looked a little skyward while rocking his head just a little, handed us back our passports, and said in a slightly sympathetic voice "Good Luck".

Rather that then the snap of the rubber glove.
Gonna be a great day, or two....
