I'm taking delivery tomorrow of a 2017 F350. I received yesterday from Ford - their end of year closeout specials.... it states for specialty marked retail orders, mine was a special order - would this apply??? Search Super Duty specials at the bottom of the link for specials.

I received that too. I bet mine won't have a tag on it. Who tags them?

Ford's build site says only $500 right now.

 

I just got mine on Friday. dealer said SD not a tagged vehicle. only got 1000.

The key to this offer 2k off is "Specially Tagged Vehicles". It's designed to assist in moving aged inventory. Dealers can "tag" up to 10% of their oldest inventory. My truck obviously doesn't qualify.

 

My dealer has a unit with the $2,000 off. It's a 17 F250 6.2 XLT that has been on their lot since August.

All other extra $1,000 they applied to their remaining 16's.

 

I thought they could use the tags at their discretion? Even if they can I doubt they would on a 2017 SD.

 

Using a tag on a custom order vehicle is not going to free up space for new stock. Dealers are receiving a large number of new stock vehicles this month and need te space on their lots. As of last Saturday our dealer was expecting 73 truckloads of new Fords.

 

The extra $1k isn't even eligible for the '17s. The current rebate is $500 + $500 final days (they lowered the regular rebate so they could advertise $500 off final days with fewer exceptions.)

 

Got to love how Ford keeps repacking the same $1,000 rebate.
