Questions, always questions...

My '48 F6 has only a passenger side door lock, a driver's side wiper and driver's side sunvisor.

I understand the logic behind having a door lock on the right, to enter on the non traffic side of the truck. But, why only one sunvisor and wiper. The knock outs are there, I guess you could cut them out and and install another wiper and and visor. (I'm not dong that).

I didn't think in '48 that there were a lot of options, someone on this site will have answers.

Thanks in advance!

The driver's side lock and passenger visor and wiper were extra cost options to save money. They were standard on the deluxe model whatever it was called in 48. As you can tell I am not an expert in 48-52 trucks.

By 1953 the passenger side wiper became standard but not the sunvisor.

Fwiw, my '50 F-6 Has two wipers, pass side door lock, and driver's side visor. I will install a pass side visor since the holes are there. No heater though.

My '51 COE only had the drivers bucket seat. Could not find any evidence of a passenger seat ever being in there. Had 2 wipers though...

My COE had a rigid passenger seat. The driver's OEM seat was a suspension seat with a shock absorber. It is now an air ride seat.

Sounds like "If you've seen one Ford, you've seen one Ford!" It's the human factor, just like most VIN's are on the right frame rail but some can be found on the Left.
