Not to say restoring takes forever....

Between no time and little money my projects seem to take forever. Hopefully, I get it done in time for their graduation (high school, not college that is).

Frame is done, cab is about done, now just doors, fenders, hood, bed, wiring, exhaust, ....

I have been at mine since 2009. Two years with back problems and 1 surgery. Retired three years ago and been spending 5-6 hours per day and about 5 days a week.

All my kids are grown, 10 grandkids, and one great grandkid. Everything I do to my truck takes a long time.

All we can do is keep plugging away. The end will come - some day !!!!

Been there, done that, have the scars to prove it. Just takes the time when it happens and make the most of the opportunity.

Later!

It doesn't matter in the big scheme of things , look at the wonderful childhood your kids are having just being around your build, forget how cool they must feel, along with the skills they will pick up watching you, helping you. Along with all that ,if your anything like me ,you enjoy every moment your out working on your truck. You have been blessed my friend, great family, great truck. Its great to have you as part of the FTE family. By the way I've been working on mine for 15 years now, and have enjoyed every moment, keep on Rocking On.

Thanks for the kind words of encouragement. I find focusing on smaller sub-sections helps me from getting overwhelmed.
Here's one of my grandson helping me gas weld some panels in.

I just saw a post I made about mine and realized that I got the truck over 7 years ago. It is 90% done but I haven't touched it in several months as my work got crazy busy again. I should be retired but keep getting good work (self employed cabinet maker) that I just can't turn down...
I am to the point now that if I wasn't working 9 hours a day on WORK, I could probably finish it in a month.
Instead it just sits there patiently waiting....

After sitting in storage for over 25 years I retired and worked 5 to 6 hrs 6 days a week for 1 1/2 years to finish it.
Turned out terrific.

I've always liked your stock truck, Frank, but I didn't realize you had it for over 25 years before you started working on it.
