Made by ATP automotive, say ATP 3rd hand pan gasket. Does it matter if I change all this before running it, does it have to be hot when drained. My wife was reading somewhere that it should be at operating temp when draining the oil, I was wondering. This thing hasn't ran in about 16 years..

In this case you might as well change the fluid 1st, but she's right
trans fluid is thin so it will run out easy,
after you clean the case & the pan good just put the gasket on dry & snug the bolts
make sure you add at least 4 liters of fluid before you start the motor,
then let it idle in Park, add fluid til its full on the dipstick ....
road test it & then check the fluid again & check for leaks, voila!
PM me your phone # & I'll call you if you wanna talk

I know the oil level is up to the modulator port . I was not planning on changing this filter right away as I want to get all the body parts on first and wiring done. I have not started this engine yet but hope to within the next couple months, maybe I should wait to change the filter then.
