Need some advice
#17
I have made my decision I'm going to keep my Straight axle front end replace the kingpins tie rod ends replace all bushings and pins in the springs and put disc brakes on it. Going to National Parts Depot in Ocala next week pickup parts can't wait to get started. Oh yeah just found out my nephew does sandblasting and powder coating and he said he would do all my powder coating at cost

Good choice
Jimmie;
I think in your case you made the right choice to stick with straight axle. Besides straight axle will give it the "cool" factor.
What kind of shape are the spring eye bushings on the front and rear axle. I changed out the front end based on the fact that my spring bushings were completely gone. I considered buying after market springs, but shipping would have been costly. I sacrificed $$ on the IFS, but wished I would have thought it through more. I don't like the lowered stance I have; all the kits drop the front end by minimum 2" as far as I know.
Keep at it.
