What does my truck weigh?

I'm sorry if this has been covered before but I'm just trying to figure out a ballpark number of what my truck weighs. The nearest CAT scale is a ways away from me so just trying to figure out my own ballpark number. My truck is a 2016 f-250 ccsb Lariat 4x4 6.2. According to the ford specs the base curb weight for my truck is 6828. Add in 200 pounds for myself, about 200 for gas and 50 pounds of miscellaneous junk in the bed and I'm looking at just shy of 7300. I'm not sure how much weight the lariat package adds with running boards, power seats, carpet etc. So I'm thinking I'm somewhere around 7500 rolling down the road with a full tank of gas.

am I way off base with my numbers?

You sound in the ballpark. Check the payload sticker in your door jamb, then subtract that from your GVWR. That should give you the weight of the truck as it left the factory.

For example, 9,200 lb GVWR - 1,900 lbs payload = 7,300 lb empty weight.

My 2016 CCSB 4x4 6.2 XL with nothing in it and 1/2 tank of fuel: 6800 lbs. I think you estimate of 7500 lbs is going to be really close.

You're about in target at 7,500. I had modifications on mine and took it took a local truck stop to check it on the scales - was at 7,800 I think with me and other junk in it.

Thanks for the help! The scale is too far to drive out there for no reason however next time I have a reason to head out there I'm definitely getting weighed.

Both my '08 and '11 Super Duties had under 1,900 lbs of payload available. 10,000 lb GVWR and diesel Crew Cabs. My current F150 has 1,830 lbs, but of course it can't handle anywhere near the towing weight or duty cycle of the Super Duties.

2011 F250 XLT CCSB pretty loaded on options.

When I first got the truck. I was around 7400 pounds. With the current load out of the truck, I am around 7700 pounds last time I was at the scale. GVWR 9600 pounds. So sub my weight the truck would be currently sitting at 7500 pounds. Not to shabby. Then again, I have had nearly 4000 pounds in the bed without an issue.

Seems like we all are exceeding GVWR all the time. My truck has the brush guard and auxiliary fuel tank. It's 8,800 GVWR. We use it to pull the camper. I am sure I am over loaded. I will weight it some day.

You're not gonna hurt anything. Your truck has the exact same axles and brakes as an SRW F350 with a 11,500 lb GVWR.

Those are our ODOT(Oregon Dept of Transportation) scales, they leave them on when they are not stopping trucks there. I have weighed at others and the landfill. My truck, and my current one (6500#), always show the same weight between them.
