'54 F600 Brake System Swap or Upgrade
Hello All,
I'm new to the forums and had a question regarding a rebuild project I'm working on. I have a 1954 F600 with a 292 Y Block and it appears from the years the Master Cylinder, and what appears to be the slave, system needs to be replaced; as well as all the lines (just to be thorough).
I was wondering if anyone recommends a specific OEM replacement model I could get locally from Autozone, O'Reillys, Napa, etc... or if there is an upgraded system that is better. I am not looking at drag racing or anything crazy but it's a big ol' truck I'd like to stop. All suggestions welcomed, thanks so much!
Jon C.

Welcome to FTE, the best Ford Truck Forum on the world wide web!
I am not an expert on the bigger trucks, nor in the 61-66 era. I would suggest you ask your question in the 61-66 Slick Sixties or in the Large Truck Forum since this is the 48-56 forum. We have guys here that could help you, also.
About your master cylinder, they can be rebuilt if they are not rusted or scored. I know for 53-56 trucks you can buy new ones as well as new wheel cylinders. If your truck has been sitting a long while it would be wise to replace the lines.
But before you leave our forum you need to show us pictures of your F600, please.
