Head R & R

2005 F150 5.4L. with coolant in oil. Have not done compression tests or leakdown tests yet but want to be prepared for the ordeal if I need to replace head gaskets...
Can the heads be removed without removing the camshafts?
Timing chains, sure- but the actual cams themselves?
