96 doghouse on 87 bronco???

I don't know what a 'doghouse' is, but I moved an entire 1994 Bronco body onto a 1989 frame without any problems. All the chassis-body bolts line up. I had to drill some holes to relocate the emergency brake frame mount and a couple other small things.

thx for the info. a doghouse is the fender/hood/core support/grille assy. since you've done the swap, that is the info i needed. thx again.

Actually, the sheet metal changed in 1990 and again in 1992. So even tho the entire body will swap I don't know how well the 'doghouse' will look on your Bronco.

96 doghouse on 87 bronco???

Usually I hear people use the "doghouse" erm when they're talking about the interior engine cover for a van. I have heard of the body swaps working, I know one guy who used a 94 or 95 body on an 87 because he got the whole body for a couple hundred bucks and it saved him doing body and paintwork on the old 87.

The guys below used the '51 on their Searay and it looks like a good swap to me
