Ford spare tire carrier

Does anyone have this spare tire mount for the bed? Does it work OK? Easy enough to install?

It works when I click on it. Hmmm? Do you have a spare mount in your bed? Just looking for good options.

I don't have one myself, but last time I was out at the wreckers there was one on the truck I was pulling a carpet out of. Looks pretty good, looks like it's just bolted in place. I was considering grabbing it, but changed my mind when I bought my tonneau cover.

Thanks. I think I'm going to get one and hope it works out.

years ago I had a 1986 F150 and took the under bed mount bracket, cut it and welded it to the bed in the left rear corner of bed by tailgate (similar to the internal Bronco location) and mounted the tire there. It worked fine for me and the next owner and you could still load plywood or drywall flat. Sorry no pics.

Link works now. I had to replace the bed on mine last year and one i got from junkyard had one on it. Used it for a short time after i had a flat but it was in the way when i installed my toolbox. It also gets in the way of bed rails, i had to trim them up when i put them on. I tried removing the spare tire mount but it has allen or hex head boltsthat i couldn't get out.
