The headlights and puddle lights (where fitted) stay on for a few extra seconds as you walk away from your car/truck.

Of course he posted in the wrong forum, this belongs in the Ranger forum, not the Expedition one.

You think you are destined for a room with padded wallpaper because your truck lights stay on for 10 seconds after you close the door?

There wouldn't by chance be anything else in your life that might be causing you stress??

Actually they stay on for 5 minutes and when I have a van / trailer hooked on it can light up the whole park.
That's the reason I want to be able to turn them off ................ OK by U ?
But thanks any way for you totally unhelpful comment and may you have a better day ( because today don't seem to be good enough for you ! )

OK, no sense of humor. Check.

Is it the headlights that stay on or just the markers? If it is the markers, your door switch may be buggered. The markers are not supposed to stay on. According to the manual, the lights will go out when the door closes, or time out after 10 minutes if the door remains open.

I hope that makes up for ruffling your feathers before. Good luck. I'm out.

I guess Aussies don't have the sense of humor as we have over here.

There was an Aussie that went to his fav bar
Met 3 yank Guys (mates/ friends ) and says to them "I heard a great joke about USA today , wanna hear it ?
First guy '' well if it's about USA I don't want to , thank you"
Second and third guys says something similar to the Ausie.
Who says "that's OK .... I wouldn't wanna have to explain it 3 times anyway"

Point being the difference between the 2 ideas of humor are not very similar at all LOL

It would have been useful if you had specifically identified your vehicle as an Australian market Ford product. This forum is focused on the vehicles for the North American market.

Good luck.
