Hey guys, I have a 2000 7.3L Excursion - all the sudden the radio just stopped working, wont power on at all.

I checked the fuses with a test light and they all are getting power beside fuse #21 which is labeled Audio (Start Feed). Should there be power at that fuse if the radio isnt on?

I replaced the 5A fuse for fuse #21, still no power to it. I poked the wire harness at the back of the radio and I got power there. The GEM seems to be working, as my ESOF 4x4 works and all other features seem to work, power windows, door locks, dome lights, etc.

Any ideas? Could the radio just have crapped out? Thanks.

 

I have this same issue. But mine is intermittent. There is a relay in the cluster that is the accessory delay relay. It is not replaceable unless you send the cluster in then they can take it apart and replace it! Someone else will come along with more in depth info!

 

turns out the radio just went dead. got a replacement radio, put it in and it came right on.. Thanks for the input anyways!

I have the same issue, random lack of power to the radio and windows after start up. It lasts for several minutes when it happens and is quite irritating.
Do you have information on the company that fixes the clusters?
