New to me '96 F350

I just bought a 1996 F350 CCLB 7.3L 4x4 truck. Love it so far. Couple of questions hope you guys can answer.

I watched this YouTube video (link attached below). In the video, you can hear the guys turbo spool up and pull around 1300ish RPM, my truck is a dog until about 2100 RPM then it starts to pull pretty good, and turbo spools up. No check engine lights. Previous owner straight piped the exhaust after the OEM downpipe, also came with a Edge tuner set to 'tow'. Any help appreciated.

do you have any leaks on up pipes or intake?
what fuel pressure at idle and WOT?
what turbo do you have?
any other mods?

I am very new to this truck, so forgive my ignorance.
I did not see any up pipes, the turbo dumps right into the intake, but I can check for boost leaks.
Can I use TorquePro app to check fuel pressures?
OEM turbo
Only other mod I can think of is the K&N intake.

K&N is known not to be good. better to use this Riffraff Diesel 6637 Ford 7.3L Powerstroke Intake Filter Kit

fuel is not monitored by PCM, use a tire pressure guage 1-100 PSI

up pipes are from exhaust manifold to turbo

4 in fernco coupling to a plug can be used to pressurize intake and then spray soapy water around y pipe and intake manifolds

leaf blower on exhaust pipe and do same on all pipes wit soapy water

some good info for you
https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...-and-more.html

hook up scanner and check IPR duty % at idle

is fuel filter media dark?

I was able to check some of the stuff you listed.
I'm not sure if I did the fuel pressure test right, but I connected to the schrader valve nearby the fuel filter, I only got 10psi at idle, and 15psi at 2500 RPM?!?!? Is this bad? The needle was fluctuating about 2psi like the video, then I open the bleeder valve on the fuel pressure tester and got diesel.

Next, I connected the Edge to check for any soft codes, CEL is off, but I got 2 codes: P0236 Turbo Boost sensor A circuit performance
P0472 exhaust back pressure sensor circuit low input

under 40 PSI under WOT in 3rd gear means starving injectors making no power and no boost.

If spring don't fix it then fuel pump might be needed unless also you have a blockage in the tank, shower head or tank valve if you have dual tanks

While I'm waiting for parts to come in. When I'm refueling my truck, the pump keeps clicking off, I either have to fuel up very slow or pull the nozzle all the way out, and kinda shoot the fuel in, if that makes sense. But I cannot latch the nozzle. Is there a vent clogged somewhere?

OEM downpipe sux and kills turbo whistle.

Do you have any black smoke at WOT w/ rpm < 2100?

I'd kick the k&n to the curb along with the edge programmer and the OEM downpipe. Gut the EBPV. If its running like it should you'll hear the turbo start to whistle @ 1500 and spool up around 1800-2000. If you want it spool up even faster go with a different turbo or 1.0 housing for the stock turbo.

Little bit of black smoke at WOT. I want to do the downpipe, but don't want to cut up the firewall. I removed the K&N filter and replaced it with a Donaldson powercore filter.

The Edge came with the truck, interested to know if there is a better one.
