This might sound strange and weird but at this time of year I'd walk a HD, Lowe's, or auto dealer's parking lot with a tape measure and look for Dodge Rams and measure them up to determine what may cross-over to your body Dentside. ...ya might want to wait for the owner to show up first though before ya measure.
Other times of year... wait! You're in the southwest... I'd head to a car/truck show and measure them there. I do it all the time at Good Guys shows... and the owner is typically more than happy to discuss and let ya crawl around.
A coupla months ago I verified the rear fenders of a 57-66 C10 stepside have the right dimensions to create a Bumpside dually. The fender crease lines up neatly with the bump within 1/2-inch vertically from the rocker to bump line. Easy to mod!

You're right about that! Arizona is not only an open carry state, were a concealed carry state and a "shall-issue" state for CCW permits!
