Getting ready to change the power steering pump on my 07 expedition. Looking around online, im seeing many conflicting posts about what the correct fluid type is. My first question is what fluid do y'all recommend I use? Second, how much do I need. I also have a factory service manual on the way from ebay, so i will be consulting that as well.

 

Got my factory service manual in the mail from ebay. It calls for mercon atf... For future reference.

 

I used the same AMSOIL that I used in the trans when I changed it out. I didn't have to replace my ps pump, but as preventative maint I used a turkey baster to suck old fluid out, then replaced with new AMSOIL. I did this 3 times with running and driving the truck about 15 mi utes inbetween.
