So am I totally out of luck here and just have to live with the speedo error created by mounting 315/70R17 on my truck? That will really suck if so?
You can only change the size to whatever was offered from ford. In the plain text page you should see a drop down list of available tire sizes, the largest being the 275/65.

I changed it to that tire size and created a PCM DTC? This is quite frustrating stuff to say the least. I guess Forscan hasn’t been around long enough for it to be really understood at least for the Super Duty’s? Tons of info for the F-150 and Fusion vehicles. I am also battling with an IPC DTC for the compass which I cannot clear nor can I find the electrical connection to the rear view mirror? But I do have a GPS Module and the calibration and zone options in the message center for the compass?

Ok guys I need a little guidance here. I've got some 35" tires coming my way and was wanting to recalibrate my speedo for the change in tire size. I'm a little confused and unsure of how to do this. I read the attachment off the spreadsheet but I'm still confused. Can anyone give me some help or just tell me what I need to change the values to? My stock tire size is 275/65R20 and I'm going to a 35/12.50R20. Also if I end up calculating it myself would I go off the the sectional size off the tire or off the inflated diameter from the spec sheet of the tire? Thanks.

Well hell I should have read the prior posts. That really sucks that we can't just change the values into hex regardless of what the tire size is. Is this something that forscan just can't do? Can I take it to the dealership and have them recalibrate the speedo?

Nope. They only do "factory sizes". FWIW, 35s shouldn't put you too far off from the tires you used to have as those are supposed to be 34".

We can get you close.
Once you get the new tires and find the air pressure you are going to run use a GPS and see how far off you are.
Also check odometer. The gauge, needle is not that accurate.
Once that is done it's just a math equation.
We will need the year and gear ratio also.

Ok I will do that. I'm hoping to have them by Wednesday and then I will be making a 1500 mile trip so it would be nice to be as close as possible since those cali highway patrolman can be quite ruthless.

Your speedometer already shows 2 MPH faster than you're actually going....

Yes it does but it's off the same amount throughout the entire range. It's not like that with larger tires.

I'd be interested to see how far off it is after you get the 35s put on and before you start messing with settings.

Ok so with 35s the speedometer is still 2mph fast up until about between 40 and 45 mph. After that at least up to 70 mph it is about 1mph off. My guess is once you get over 70 it'll be pretty spot on. Haven't had a chance to test it at higher speeds on the freeway yet. I will update when I run my truck into town for a service here in the next few days.

My truck has 315/70/17 tires also. I used the ForScan tool and selected the 20" tire setting in under the BCM programming parameters. speedo is alot more accurate now, but still reads roughly 2mph slow across the entire range.

I just ordered 18" wheels and tires for the truck and will going up to a 325/65/18 tire, which is slightly taller than the 17", it might even out with the current tire setting... I will keep you updated..

Does anyone know what the 7D0-05 and up setting are? I just replaced the MFT Sync 2 in my truck with a Sync 3 and I only had up to 7D0-04 on the Sync 2. I'm not sure what the extra settings are for, anyone know? I don't see anything for them here - https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...#gid=679115305, didn't find anything searching this site or on Google so, if anyone has any suggestions, I would appreciate them.

Thanks!

Here is a link to the later F250 trucks which is similar to the 2017+ SD
go to the apim tab. If not the same they are most likely similar.
F150 ForScan sheet
