I've changed the tire size by itself and did not get any lights. Maybe try one at a time instead of both settings at once? I'm curious about this because I was thinking of trying to find a tire/gear setting combo that would make the speedo more accurate in the event that I go to a larger tire.

They don't clear with time or mileage. You will get DTCs without a light if you change the tire size in the BCM only. I believe the DTCs are usually caused by a mismatch of sizes between the ECM/TCM and BCM. At this time I don't think ForScan can access the ECM/TCM to change the tire size.

For what it's worth to Ford, it's actually a safety feature to be able to check cameras and loads WHILE DRIVING, as well as the mirror cameras for night time blind spots. Just saying!

Is there a way to increase the speed limiter for the electric locking rear differential?

There is a process that requires a relay wired to an up-fitter switch. Keeps the Advance Trac off as well as allows the ELD to stay engaged. Not sure of the specific wiring. Guy hasn't responded to me so I can post up the wiring and diagram.

The simple way

Be careful that you don't run the battery down. I haven't had personal experience, just read about it somewhere. Might depend on how it's connected.

I installed running lights above my running boards and have them powered by the plugs for the power steps. Can the programming be changed so the power step plugs can be changed to the parking light and stay on when the lights are on. If not I'll have to find the parking light wire and tap it.

Why are you tapped into the power for the steps? Most use the plug for the lights on the running boards. That is what I used. They stay on the same length of time as you exterior amber lights when you open the door.

Hi Larry,
That is the plugs I used, sorry for the confusion. I also want the lights to be on with the parking lights at night. That's way the question about reprograming the BCM.

Added Navi. I have had success with Sirus delete, adding HDC but Navi has me perplexed. Nav works but when I scan with FORScan I get a DTC.

I have cleared the DTC a couple times but it comes back.

My As-Built 7D0-01-02 is: 0001 4200 021F

As per the tutorial I changed the first two numbers in the first field from 00 to 04.

Now I get a DTC: Code B1215 - External Memory Card

Should the FORScan be run the the Map Card removed to not get the DTC?
If that is the case why is the Maps throwing a code? It is a Ford A8 SYNC card.

Thank you.

Doing a search of the net for B1215 shows it to be Running Board Lamp Circuit Short to Battery. Doesn't appear to be a NAV DTC.

Oh wow. I did install AMP Research running boards.

When I change my As-Built numbers back to 00 the DTC goes away.

Do you think I should still check the Running Board Lamp wires?

Thanks Larry.

I would check the wires and make sure they are correct polarity or grounded properly.
