FORScan and As-Built Data
#663
Hi mr. grieves - Here is a thread I started on the nav update on my 2014 F350. You can read it from the start if you wish but down toward the bottom of the first page is where I got my info from to make it work.

I had to use the info from the link to XDA-developers to get it to work on my 2016, but it works like a charm. SD map card came from ebay.

I would venture to guess that it can't be added. You would need to find out what the code is that does the mirror fold function for the Lincoln and then see if you can find similar code in your ECU/PCM/BCM.

I looked into this a couple months back. It can't be done in the pre-2017 Superduties. The power fold switch is a toggle only device that triggers the relay to fold or unfold without providing feedback to the PCM or BCM if the mirrors are in or out. The 2017 SDs have a different setup that receives feedback for the mirror fold status (in or out).

Is anyone aware of any work on the TBC module to change the parameters to increase the initial sensitivity and lower the brake dropout (trailer anti-lock?) to a lower speed. I wish it operated more the like Brakesmart I had in my 2000. I think I read the dropout is about 25mph. With the gain at 10 it seems like it could be more aggressive. I have three different trailers with electric brakes (3000#, 13000# and 16000#) and the truck is consistently annoying across all three when it drops out at lower speeds.

On the aggressiveness note, I totally agree that the brakes could engage "quicker." The controller is proportional to how much brake pedal input you provide but it seems like I have to nearly stand on them in order to see just two little bars on the screen. I drive in a way that I let the truck "engine brake" by coasting then just use a little bit of brakes to get me completely stopped and apparently that's just a little too little input for the controller.

I just reread the manual. It's not 25mph, but 11mph. "The TBC is equipped with a feature which reduces output at vehicle speeds below 11 mph (18 km/h) so trailer and vehicle braking is not jerky or harsh. This feature is only available when applying the brakes using the vehicle’s brake pedal, not the TBC."
I just read the '15 manual and it has an Initial Output Setting - Light, Medium and Heavy. No fair. I wonder if this can be turned on in older trucks via As-built data or if there is hardware changes or firmware in the cluster that needs to be flashed first.
on edit: The part numbers for the TBC change on 3/17/14. There is a FC3Z-2C006-A and a current -B. @la_stroker, if you wouldn't mind and have the ability, can you see what changes in the IPC and TBC when you change from Light, Medium and Heavy?

Did you lose your compass display? I'm having the same problem. Attempting to change 720-01-01 **** 1*** 7*** to 7201-01-01 **** 9*** 7*** per the spreadsheet and it will not save and I do not get the % screen. I'll try F instead in place of the 7.

720-01-01 **** **** 7*** (DPF Screen enable / Compass enable)
That should get you the DPF screen and compass on your info display.

As built data:
720-01-01 EA20 1A02 67B6
What shows up in Forscan with 5Star tune:
720-01-01 EA00 1A02 77A6
Other settings do work: Bambi Mode, DRL, Temperature in Productivity screen screen, Remote start menu, Seatbelt minder disable. Had no issue modifying those settings at all.
