How enjoyable it is to order a hood to cowl seal for my 69 only to find that the clips that are stapled into it aren't anywhere close to lining up to the factory mounting holes. Then having to deal with the GED recipient on the phone for 1/2 hour explaining it. Never again. I ordered another one from D.C.

Jeez Louise... who were ya talking to... that newbie "junkyardz"?
That was the short version. She also said she couldn't refund my shipping costs because I ordered the wrong part. Hello! I ordered the one it listed in you're catalog. She obviously didn't have a clue as to what the hell she was doing.

That would be the point I would have stopped the conversation and requested to speak to the shift or floor manager... to whomever she reports to.

You have to love click to order. This is why most times I will call on the phone to place an order. If I can find the parts local I would rather pay more to be able to have a face to talk to if there is a problem with something. The internet is a great tool to use if you need it. Hope you get what you need in the long run.
I was thinking about trying a large bicycle tube sliced in 1/2 lengthwise and then folded in half ( lengthwise ) tack gluing it every 8 inches or so, so it keeps the fold and then either sheet screws or rivets to install. Cut holes on the outer " flap " of rubber where the screwdriver or pop rivet gun could access.
I bought mine from Mac's and it didn't line up either. Mine is a 69. I chalked it up to being aftermarket and moved the clips to get it to fit. Wasn't fun to move them but I got it done.
67, 68-69 and 70-72 hoods each vary a pinch. The underside that is. Different holes, bumper brackets so it wouldn't surprise me the clippies are different. I encountered you not to "glue" anything to your truck.
