Cargo tie-downs/anchors for 04 Navigator

Cargo tie-downs/anchors for 04 Navigator
Ok, I'm still learning lots about this platform..
The main reason we got a full size SUV is that we travel with our dog, what I'd call an "average" size, 60 pounder... not little, but not a German Shepard etc.
Although we've taken some trips with her in the back of our Focus and Fiestas, if you're going for more than a quick weekend you need more luggage space.
What we've done in the past in both our 2011 Mazda CX-9 and 1999 Suburban was put her in a crate, since we need that for her most places we go anyway, and it allowed her to have her space, while still leaving load floor for all our stuff.. we could pack around the crate. In the Suburban and Mazda there were tie-downs so I used a ratchet strap or 2 to secure the crate to the floor so it (and she) didn't become a projectile in event of a collision, or just bounce around on rough roads.
Now when we got the Navigator I didn't even think to look before we bought to realize there are no tie downs!! This seems like a strange omission in a full size SUV.
Has anyone figured out a way to add some feature of this sort? It's obviously a bit more complicated due to the folding 3rd row, so wouldn't be able to use the floor itself. Our Mazda had the tie-downs on the sides.
Alternatively I was thinking of getting some way of dividing the back in half, but most dividers seem intended to separate the 'cargo" and "passenger" areas, not to divide the cargo area.
Any experience here would be helpful. No big family trips until Easter or so, so I've got time to figure it out..

The folding 3rd row certainly complicates it. And I'm really not all that familiar with the 2nd gens to know.
But I have been searching for a solution on my 1st gen. The 1st gens that didn't come with a 3rd row have 4 tie downs in the floor. Mine has the 3rd row (removable) option and thus no tie downs.
On my Explorer, I added additional factory tie downs to the cargo area. On my Expedition, I'm thinking something more along these lines:
Anchor Point Tie Down Kit w/ Stud Rings for Truck / Trailer - Black
