78 F150 2wd SCab braking issues
I'm at a loss at what is going on with the brakes on my truck. I have a 78 F150 Supercab Shortwide 2wd with a 460 and C6. It won't stop to save its life. Pedal goes practically to the floor and wont lock up a single wheel on a panic stop. I've replaced the maser cyl twice, booster, both rear wheel cyls, front calipers, new shoes/pads all around, hardware in the rear drums, basically everything. Bled and re-bled the system many times over... no air. Have these trucks always had stopping problems? I've owned several pre-'77 Bumps and Dents and never experienced this kind of problem. I've heard the '78-'79 Broncos having similar issues. I also have a '76 F100 SWB with a 460 and C6 that stops on a dime, damn near throwing you out of the seat. Why doesn't my '78 do this? What Am I missing??
Are there differences between the brakes between pre-77 and 78-79 1/2T trucks? Different pedal ratios?
I had also installed disc brakes from a '74 F100 onto my '69 F100 (351W/C4) using the '69 Drum brake booster, but rest of parts from the '74 and it works like a champ!
At a total loss at what's going on with my 78 SCab...
Any and all help greatly appreciated.

Oh yeah they are. I had posted about this about a year ago and finally found it to review it. Was trying to repair what was there as i find it hard to believe Ford would sell something with braking this bad.
If i cannot figure this out then i'll have to go for the F350 upgrades suggested on the other post. Just trying to keep the truck as original and correct as possible. Also keeps me from forgetting all the swapped parts for repairs down the road! My memory isn't getting any better!!
