Today somebody got into my truck in our apartments. we recently brought it here and have it in a paid car port they taped papers to the outside driver's side window and inside. which brings me to my question. Can it be locked if the door lock motors freeze up or will that stop it from locking with the key???

 

I'm not exactly sure what your saying happened to your truck. If a door lock actuator quits working, the door may be able to be locked and unlocked manually. If it freezes up and won't move, it will have to be replaced or removed in order to lock and unlock the door.

 

sometime between Monday around 5pm to 4Pm today somebody opened my truck and taped a piece of paper that read "Move your truck!" on the inside of the driver's side window and on the outside of the same window was another piece of paper that read"Please move your truck are it will be towed" apparently they can't spell or use proper words but in either case they just let themselves into my truck. The door lock Actuators are frozen and based on your response I know tomorrow I have to get the Door lock motors I appreciate it Texasguy.

I had had my Truck at my Aunt's but on Saturday had it towed here paid for a covered car port and then today I discovered that crap on and in my truck so basically they broke into my truck

 

When my lock motors got stiff, I couldn't lock or unlock it manually(inside or outside key). Only by the motors(when they worked). I replaced both actuators and the keys(and inside ****) worked fine.
