Part number for M/C?

Trying to shop economically(read: I'm cheap).

I'm converting my single res master cylinder to a dual. I ran across some info here that said I could use a master cylinder from '70 F100 with drum/drum and not have to change anything about the M/C. It already had the residual pressure check valves so I'd have to do nothing more than install it. But whenever I search for that year, the search results show what appear to be your typical disk/drum M/C. Could be a stock photo, but I don't know for sure. Anybody got a Ford part number I can search for?

Some websites are offering the M/C with metering, or proportioning valves. Are they necessary?

Thanks in advance.

1973 was the first year that F100 2WD's were available with disc brakes.

1973/79 F100 2WD: Manual disc brakes were standard equipment, power disc brakes were optional.

All 1967 and later FoMoCo vehicles with dual master cylinders require a "brake pressure differential valve" that some people call a proportioning valve.

That valve is not necessarily the proportioning valve or residual pressure valve, just a shuttle valve that blocks off one circuit of the MC when it has lower pressure than the other side (i.e., a leak) and turns on the dash light for Brakes. Some incorporate a proportioning valve, some don't. Most of the early ones don't, and the shuttle valve can make brake bleeding a PITA.

I searched for a 1969 F250. This one shows different reservoir sizes like I was asking about earlier. Is that consistent with what you would have found on a stock '69?

If this will work on my drum/drum setup, I'll probably just get this and save about $50(over buying the bracket/master cylinder combo).

So is that dual master cylinder a direct bolt up replacement for the single master cylinder used in 1950-52 F1 trucks?
Is there any special modifications required?

Thanx

It won't bolt up, if that's what you're asking. It has two bolts on the horizontal centerline of the MC, the stock uses 3 bolts. Adapters are around, or if you have good machining skills you can fab one. "Eman92082" on here made this one:
