Upgrades to the stock stereo?

On the Sony system you wouldn't want to tap the rear doors for anything but sub signal. (However, in that case you'd have the factory sub and could just tap it's feed.) The reason not to tap the rear doors for full range signal (on the Sony... not sure on the standard) is that it's highs are crossed out to make the rear door speakers rear fill. Not sure on the colors for non Sony. Sorry I can't help there Tricon...
No worries on the wires, I'll have to go digging with a volt meter or battery and see if I can find em!

Yea, I'm only adding 2 10" subs right now behind the back seat. Couple months Ill get the full blown install, but I don't have the crap Sony DSP to deal with anyways. I learned on my last truck not to order the upgraded sound system as I ALWAYS end up ripping them out and putting in aftermarket stuff and they tend to be much harder to work around.

I've made my box so it's only 3.25" wide at the top. I can push the seats up to get to the storage, and they stay up so far. I don't believe they locked up though, I'll have to check again. Was a pretty easy trade off for me, really missing the low notes right now.
I had 1" tweets, 4" mids and 7" woofers in my Tundra front stage, and 2 x 10s in the back. The fronts in the F250 are fine until I can get all my parts and xovers built. But having no subs is killing me lol.

For the guys keeping is simple, here's todays project. I had already upgraded the OEM 8" sub to a Pioneer and powered it with a JL Slash 250/1 V2 amp. I really didn't want to loose my under seat storage for the JL Stealthbox that just because available. I had looked high and low for a mini sub that would fit IN the rear storage area. Kicker had one on pre-order for about 2 months that was the only one I could find that would fit. They finally were available to ship on Wed so I ordered one. Only $150 and 6.75" sub and passive radiator so I wasn't expecting much other than a bit of reenforcement for my 8" Pioneer. Well, holy... this thing is unreal for it's micro size and price. Hits almost as hard as the JL 10" I put in the wife's SUV. And, I maintain my under seat storage. Anyways, if anyone is looking for a perfect fit for their under seat storage... this is it... and it punches above it's class...

So I got my 2 x 10" sub install finished finally, well almost, need to dynamat and cover the box. But man does it sound amazing. This is only the 3rd box I've ever built and its far and away the best one yet. Makes the hair on my neck stand up
Bonus, I can still lift the rear seats and didnt lose any underseat storage other than the small amp there. I mounted the bass **** on my diy center console. Pretty easy install once I figure out the measurements. I'm going to cut the rear carpet that covers the back wall and reinstall it, after dynamating the whole wall. No rattles as is, but I want to anyways. I'll make a whole post on a how to with measurements as soon as I finish the whole thing.
