I did it

Well it was a long process.... I balked in December and it didn't happen, looked like it wouldn't happen.... kinda dissed the seller not meeting his required pick up date.....
Let the idea fester over the winter, revisited it at the end of April! Said "hey, would you still like to sell that truck?"
As of tonight it has arrived from a barn in Saskatchewan and is safe and sound at home in the big city!!!
I feel a lot like a kid at Christmas today...
insert s****** eating grin here

I have some other pictures, ones I took with some cool lighting in the same barn and some that I took when it arrived home.... if there's interest I'll post more. Let me know.
I like showing it off, it's a shame it'll take a year or two to get it back on the road.... (I think more like two) between the 54, and this one, there were two 66s that came into our lives I have neither reported nor posted about either of those two.... and they are first in line projects to this one....
I'm very blessed to have the support of my wife while we "grow" trucks in our back yard....
There's a 66 merc "Rusti" and the ol 250 camper special I bought when my Mom passed away....
I am not very good at getting on here too often to post and stuff.... but I will get a couple threads started on those trucks sooner or later ...
and I need to add them to the "my garage" thing here too...

I love the 66 body style, had several of that style myself. That 41 has good sheetmetal for sure, reminds me of my panel. Keep us posted on progress when it happens.
