Rhino Liner and BakFlip G2 Installed

Well, yesterday I got my Rhinoliner applied and my BakFlip G2 installed. I am very pleased with both. Always liked rhinoliner the best, it has always been more durable than others for me.

This BakFlip is a really nice set up.

I had a bakflip on a 2010 F150. I had it for a few years and the Bakflip gave me great service, I used it (open / shut) often and never had any trouble out of it. I went to a retractable cover just because it was easier to see and use with my fifth wheel hitch. Other then that I would have stayed with the BakFlip

Does your backflip cover the stake pockets? I am thinking of making a custom rack for my kayaks and would like to have it on with the backflip.

Nope, the rails are inside the bed rail. This is flush with the bed

Is it true that you can't close the tailgate without lifting the Bakfip or the tailgate would destroy the seal?

On most models yes. The revolver x2 and the mx4 they have a new seal system and you can do whatever with the tailgate

This is true. But it isn't difficult. The tonneau cover is really light and easy to unlatch

Does the auto tailgate release still drop the tailgate with the cover on?

Yes it sure does. You just have to lift the cover to close the tailgate.

Any idea if tonneau covers for the 2011-2016 models will fit the 17? Mine's barely a year old and hate to think I have to get another one when my new truck comes in.

I don't think they do. These beds are slightly different. the part number for my BakFlip is different from the 11-16s
