Looking at a 5th / Goose trailer

I "may" be looking for a goose or 5th wheel trailer IF it will get over the hump in my driveway. The problem is how will I know? Has anyone on here been in a situation where the truck is on an incline or decline but the trailer isn't? Or even vice Versa. What's the max angle that can be? I'm selling a 28' tag bc it's just too small for my racing. I'd like to grab a 42-44 with living quarters.

here are some pics of my situation. I know the goose will put 5-6' over the bed and pull the wheels closer just not sure how it'll act on this awkward angle

My 5th wheel underbelly seems considerable higher than the bottom of that trailer in your pics. Guessing that the 5er you're looking at is the same.
BUT, the leveling jacks may be an issue on the 5th wheel.

This trailer is only 14" off the ground when hooked up. I know the longer the gap between truck and trailer wheels though the lower it's going to get

Find the trailer you want and just tell the sales person I will buy if it will work in my driveway. I bought a bigger motorhome once and that is exactly what I told the salesman. So he throws me the keys and tells me to go try it out to see. Needless to say I bought it....................

nothing like that sold around here. Ill either have to drive south or order it and pick it up at the factory unfortunately.

I went to see a friend of a friends setup the other day but it was being towed by a 90s 7.3 2wd truck which was pretty low. The top of the bed was in my stomach area where my truck is near my shoulders. I plan on getting a '17 next year and even those are higher than my '11.

I think it may work but you are going to have to test is with a ground guide first. You may have to adjust your hitch to the max height in order to give you as much clearance from the bed rails as possible.

I agree that you should ask to test it first. Dealer can come along!
