Newbie for 66 F500. Towing??

In the process of negotiating on a 1966 F500. The plan is to use it for towing a ramp style trailer with possibly three race cars on it. the cars are 2500 lbs apiece and the trailer weighs about 8000lbs. Will the ole girl do it? Let me know your thoughts.

elcoy Welcome to and the Slicks Forum.

It should, but I think if I wanted to pull that trailer and load, liked the body style of the truck, I might would install the sheet metal on a much newer chassis that would stop better, ride better, maybe already have AC, power steering and other Kool items. Just sayin
