It's too deep in there, and covered by the sun shell. The only good thing is that I've only put 200 or so miles on it since I was in it last. Hopefully the truck comes apart soon and I'll get a chance to check it out

I got some more goodies. With this and that pump mod I should be able to turn the wheels on pavement with the hubs locked without much strain.

Hey thanks. The truck has taken a back burner for a bit. Between work and other projects time is short, it's the same for you guys im sure. Im doing a 3.4 v6 swap in an old yj i got last week , itll be my daughters ride when its done. Should be pretty sweet. Itll be supercharged later after she gets some time with it. It was a Craigslist deal and only 5 miles from home. Anyway ill be around on the internet and Craigslist

With the weather turning nice again and everyone getting ready for the next season the work begins.
A buddy of mine sent a ported head to the machine shop to get some orings cut in it. Didn't go so good. The groove was cut too deep and too wide to hold the wire. Sucks. So we are taking a chance and welding it up and going to have it resurfaced and new grooves cut. Who knows but the head was essentially junk anyway so we are willing to try anything.

Hey guys, I have a question about the superduty v code conversion. I want to lower this old truck 2 or 3 inches and I'm going to build sliders for the rear of the spring but while I have it apart I figure I should swap over to the v code. My question are 1. Do these raise lower or keep the same height as my current springs? 2. Do they ride better because it' a lower spring rate? Or just the extra length is what does it. 3. Is there a change in caster between jbs and the superduty if the mounting points are at the location?

I think it' the length that makes them ride better and the length is out the front of the SD spring so the front eye hole moves forward. I do not believe the caster angle is changed just the eye to axle pin measurement. I think the SD spring is 2" longer in the front.

If a slider at the rear means getting rid of the shackle, that meets I could take almost 5" out of my truck depending on how the slider works on the rear eye. I look forward to seeing your build.

The SD axle location pin is exactly in the middle, so unless the stock springs have a pin that is off center by 2", I would say the SD springs are 1" longer on each side.

I had some time finally to get to mess around the shop. There is a pull this Friday night so as usual I'm not ready and have to work nights all week.

There' a couple of things I need to get done if I'm gonna pull. 1 of those things is to get a weight rack built to hang these weights. To go with that I need to get this hydraulic assist done so I can turn the wheel with all that weight and the spool. First time really doing anything to it since last year so I noticed the front clip was all wonky. I guess it shook the body shims out and made it uneven
