1979 f150 radio

Does anyone have a picture of what the am fm radio looked like in a 1979 f150 4x4 ranger lariat?

Here ya go.... This one is not stereo. Stereo radios said STEREO on the silver slider, have an amber light in the right side of the dial that comes on when receiving stereo, & a slider under the push buttons for the balance control.

Thanks for the picture. I seen one that was an Audiovox with cassette and they said it was original 79 ford.

Ford did have a cassette/radio in '79, but it was only available on the Ranchero and Econoline, not the F series trucks, and it was "Ford" scripted.

Nice, thanks for this reply. Two helpful things, digital radio and waterproof speakers in doors. I never thought about that.

Impossible. For one thing Ford owned Philco at this time, so they would not have installed an Audiovox radio, and...

1980 was the first year that Ford offered an 8 track or cassette radio in an F100/350.

The "sucky" part about the digital radio is it was strictly AM and you had to manually switch between the radio and clock display.
The 40 channel CB radio was a hot option back in the day and today is a much desired option. The complete system rarely comes up, and when it does it commands quite a premium.
