Well. just keep at it and don't be too discouraged. As long as everything is straight the cosmetics can be fixed. I know you said you are having a tough time mastering MIG welding. ME TOO!. But seriously I wonder if you could get a hold of a high school or jr. college with a welding program. Maybe a student could come to you and help with tidying it up?? All is not lost Maybe you should take a break from it for a couple days and regroup that's what I do when I get discouraged.

That's a truly terrible standard of 'work'. I can't believe that professional pride/embarassment didn't kick in and motivate them into getting it fixed.

As Greg says, take a few days off to regroup and you will rebound from this - albeit a little poorer, older and wiser. Chin up!

I am truly sorry BJ ,just hope you didn't pay them in advance and was able to pick it up without dropping a dime. I sincerely think you could have done a superior job compared to that mess...What was the name of the shop " Two Blind Guys Auto body"

Perhaps you should call the better business bureau and Lodge a complaint and they can get some of your money back if you paid in advance.

Loaded up the chassis to go to have the other cab mounted along with the bed and front clip. Hope this works out better than the last one.
Headed to get the other Cab, bed and front clip mounted.

I doubt it. I’ll know more Thursday when I take the chassis to them.

What those butchers did is a crying shame. I can't believe they expect to be paid for that job. Looking at the pics turned my stomach. I can weld better than that. But I'd never charge anyone for any welding job I did.

Sorry you have to deal with this.

Well the chassis is now a couple hours away near Lake of the Ozarks. The “other” cab looks much better than the BBW (Thank God). Bed was in primer but I didn’t take any photos. I also took the BBW cab and put it in the back of my shop. Every time I look at it I wanna Since I’d still like to take a 56 to Flatlanders Truckfest I may use the BBW to mock up my wiring harness.
It has rained everyday for over a week here and we’re expecting rain well into next week too. It’s a bit hard to get motivated to go out and work on the wiring when it’s 40ish and raining. Seriously looking for Spring!

Almost forgot, My 2016 averaged 14.6 MPG towing the chassis to Lake of the Ozarks. That’s 5 MPG less than without the trailer. A lot of hills once you turn south off of I70.
