2004 Explorer with engine noise

2004 Explorer with engine noise
Hi guys and gals, I've got a 2004 Explorer XLT with a 4.0 liter engine. It just started clacking this past Sunday. Sound from the top front driver side. Does anyone have advice as to what it may be. Could it be a valve, lifter or some suggest timing chain plastic tensioner.

Are you familiar with what an exhaust tick sounds like? Could it be an exhaust leak from a broken exhaust manifold or manifold stud?
Do you know if your 4.0 L is the SOHC or OHV variant?
Other than the noise, does the engine seem to run fine?
