93 F250 Dana 60 swap- Track Bar & Diff Cover - Steering Stabilizer- Whats Available??
Ok, I got the truck back today. Dana 60 is at least 2" taller so now Ive got a 6" lift 3" body its got to be 10"-11" of lift on the front lol....
Truck rides great not using a sway bar. Steering wheel is cocked eyed 45 degrees, needs an alignment for sure.
488 Gears are great on the highway with the 5.8L. Yukon diff cover would not fit Dana 60 because it was to thick and hit the U bolts, I need one that will work?.
Got the Brake issues worked out and the Brand New 97 BIG F350 calipers and rotors are a huge improvement over the Factory 93 F250 brakes.
Here are the questions I have maybe you can help point me in the right direction part numbers links etc would be greatly appreciated.
Questions regarding compatibility 97 F350 Dana 60
1. I want a steering stabilizer what are my options?
2. I want a Diff Cover that is compatible with the 97 Front Dana 60. Tried a Yukon cover the base was to thick and hit the u bolt. What brand or model is compatible?
3. Track Bars? Are there any options? It looks as if the trackball also connects to the tie rod steering. Not really sure on this one...
OK PMF seems to be the way to go here #3 answered

Steering stabilizers are usually band aids for a problem...why do you want one? I had a PMF dual shock stabilizer but it didn't solve my issue so I sold it.
If this is a '93 D60 the track bar is behind the axle. At least it is on my '94 and '95 D60s. Is that what you are looking at?

Is this a SuperDuty front axle or a '93 D60? If a '93, am curious what you did here?

No problem just like the look.

Yes, I understand about wanting the look! My dual stabilizer interfered with the sway bar. You don't have one but just something to keep in mind.
I am really surprised you do not have a track bar...my experience without one was vague steering and a 'death-wobble'. But, many people claim they have no issues. The track bar hangs off of a bracket that bolts to the underside of the engine cradle and connects at the axle end to a bracket that looks to be part of the U-bolt plate under the axle. I went with a PMF adjustable track bar.
Still curious what you did to get "big brakes"?
