I am not sure what kind of screw you could use if it wasn't stainless. I put some aluminum tread plate under the fender wells of my RV and used SS screws. I also oversized the holes and put black silicon RTV under the screw head. I guess some large aluminum rivets would be a good choice for the ground straps.

BTW somebody put a ding in my rear bumper!

Here is a web site PDF by Fastenal about coorosion. https://www.fastenal.com/content/fed...0Corrosion.pdf Feels like I am back at work on Corporate jets again worrying about what might cause corrosion, I need to get my books out and find the material we used for anti-corrosion.

UPDATE from service department yesterday:
Also just to point out this is happening across all markets Chevrolet Toyota Honda all that have Sirius XM Traffic.
The information below is the service bulletin that I got from Ford.
SSM 46151 - 2016-2017 Ford And Lincoln Vehicles Equipped With SYNC 3 And Navigation – SiriusXM Traffic Not Loading
Some 2016-2017 Ford and Lincoln vehicles equipped with SYNC 3 and navigation may exhibit a condition in which the SiriusXM Traffic Listing is not loading but all remaining Travel Link features operate properly. SiriusXM Traffic is only available on vehicles equipped with navigation, only in select markets and requires an active subscription to SiriusXM Traffic information. If SiriusXM Traffic will not load attempt the following procedure. Turn the ignition off, open and close the driver’s door, wait for 3 minutes, then drive the vehicle outside to obtain a clear view of the sky. SiriusXM Traffic should recover. If SiriusXM Traffic does not recover continue to monitor OASIS for future updates.
Engineering is aware of this concern and no component replacement or any software re-flashes should be performed at this time. The SYNC version can be confirmed via OASIS.

Any update to this issue yet? 6 months later and still no traffic data in Dallas/Fort Worth.

TRAVEL LINK DOES WORK IN NORTH CAROLINA -- SO WHY CAN’T FORD COMPARE NORTH CAROLINA WITH VIRGINIA – Ford software or Sirius software??? -- what is the difference that makes it work in some places, but not in others.
Let me give you the details for a 2/11/2017 trip from Williamsburg to Roanoke Rapids, NC – located about 10-15 miles off I-95 just after crossing into NC from VA.
1. I-64 to I-295 to I-95 to NC/VA state line – no Travel Link service
2. parking lot of NC welcome center on I-95 just over the NC/VA state line – Travel Link came on
3. NC welcome center to Roanoke Rapids, NC, and back to I-95 NC/VA state line – Travel Link worked
4. I-95 from NC/VA state line to about 15 miles south of I-95 and I-295 junction – Travel Link worked
5. about 15 miles south of I-95 and I-295 junction to Williamsburg– no Travel Link service
I had this identical situation, back in November 2016 on a trip to/from Raleigh, NC. Travel Link worked exactly as above, but just change Roanoke Rapids to Raleigh.

My Sirius traffic has worked twice in the 6 months I have owned it. Both times under the same circumstances. I live in Norfolk/VB area of Virginia. A couple months ago I drove down to Outerbanks area. As I am returning into VA, I noticed my traffic was suddenly working! Worked all the way home. I'm thinking they must have fixed something....Start the truck up later that day,,,no traffic..., and still no traffic until today, when I drove no more than 30 miles south into NC, and when returning I have traffic again!! Works all the way home. Sitting in the driveway with truck running I alternate screen displays in Sync, go back to Nav and traffic still works. Shut truck off, start it back up, traffic gone!

Have you upgraded to v2.2 yet? If not, I cant recommend that enough.
About a month ago, I gave up on waiting for Ford to release it. Since they released it to Lincoln (which uses the same hardware/software as our F-series), I figured it would work. Well, it certainly did work. The upgrade is simple to perform, only takes about 10 minutes and it has worked perfectly ever since.

Ford Dealer Knew Exactly What To Do
My local Ford dealer knew exactly what to do when I asked if he had a resolution, yet, for the SSM 46151. Now, the dealer from whom I purchased the car and to whom I've complained many, many times has yet to call me and say that they have a fix for the issue -- some dealers are better than others. And, yes it is the latest and greatest update from Ford.
