The PA Chapter's "Turkey Trotting" November 2016 Chat and B /S Thread

Morning Pat. I've been getting up around 4 - I can be here at the plant in about 35 minutes and it doesn't take long to grab a shower and throw on a pair of jeans and a sweatshirt.

Yeah. It's not a bad gig all things considered. I don't have to dress up every day anymore and that's a positive. When I was in consulting engineering, it was dress slacks and dress shirts every day, so I actually had to think about what I was wearing. Of course those days never started before 7, usually 7:30.

Yeah, that would kinda be nice to go back to. Our production crews run staggered starts from as early as 5AM, so it makes most sense to be here when they are...but then I end up being here til 5 at night anyhow.

Morning Bill, Steve, Pat, Craig, Shaun, Rebel and anyone that I missed...hope that your day is a good one.
Man, and I complain about having to be in the office by 9 I have my alarm set for 6:35 and if I make it to the kitchen by 7, I am doing fine. End up making breakfast and my lunch. Get dressed and out the door around 8. It is about a 35 minute drive in, plus another 5 or so to make it to my desk.

Morning Neil. If I got out of here at 2 or 3 PM with the production crews, I wouldn't mind the 5AM starts so much. I'd be able to tackle a few items of personal business while places are still open and what not. But, I never leave before 430 it seems.
Add in that I'm used to it now, and it doesn't bother me.

It would be nice if that was the case. At times, I do mind that I am here until 5 because it makes it around 6 or so before eating dinner and by the time that is done along with dishes...it is close to 7 or after. Also if I have a doctor's appointment, I either need to go and be the first appointment or grab the last one of the day so that I am taking the least amount of time off. I am working on building my sick time and vacation time back up after my issues this year.
