clutch cable popped out

Picked a 92 f150 up from a buddy 6 cylinder manual. He was driving and the clutch pedal went to the floor and the cable had been pulled out of the transmission and he said it broke a retainer plug for the line and could not get the line to go back in. Just wondering how this could be fixed or if it could be something else don't know a lot about these trucks

Yeah, as mentioned, the clutch on these trucks is hydraulic. There is no cable.
