that would be breaking the rules though. must abide by them even if we hate them with the intense passion of a million dying stars. :/

would suck a large one if CHP got a hair sitting wrong and pulled my title and original plates. not something I want to risk ya know?

California rules are bad but you can do anything you want to pre 1974 vehicles even in California

I did all that they said was refrence SB 100 which gives some wiggle room for kit car makers but nothing for us who want to drive old heaps with performance parts. and that headers are allowed as replacements for manifolds if the vehicle never had a catalytic converter. *bangs head on desk*

*2fords* is gaining momentum as a positive member of FTE.
I guess things have changed since i lived in California. I bought headers and pipes for both my 76 Chevy and my 74 Jeep CJ5 from Summit.
Exactly how would they know you were putting them on a street legal truck instead of a race car or something never to be used on road? They are after all a race car supply house.

Great work, great attitude! I was watching Mad Max again on tv late last night (real fans KNOW that Mad Max 2 is THE real Mad Max film!), Which is equivalent to visiting your old high school campus for us Aussies!!!

I often drive between Melbourne, Adelaide and Broken Hill for work, through the areas the movie was made......and still today, you can be the only car for an hour during a sunset haul.....

I realised last night that, those bumpsides were just ten year old tow trucks that they chopped into to be a little more 'post apocalyptic'.

Anyway......"if it's all the same with you lot.......I'll drive that rig for you!"

well should you ever get to come to the States, maybe you can join all of us for the week and play Post Apocalyptic Raider

Truck Christmas came, got the new wiring harness and the exhaust parts. now just waiting for the unseasonable rain to stop here in the desert.

Does anyone have a list of compatible donor vehicles for radiators? fabbing up a new support is no issue. the thought is to grab the radiator, overflow bottle, fans and controller in one go. or do the tried n true Mark 8 pull.

Here is an article from another forum: A 95 Mercury villager minivan with a 3.3L V6. The stock radiator for this thing was a gigantic three core all aluminum radiator. However, the fan for this was a gigantic 19" two speed fan. This thing is massive. Bigger than a mark viii. If anyone's interested, I did some research the 92-2002 Villager is a rebadged Nissan quest.
