You can find the right year on Ebay for about $20, or you can often buy one from Helm directly, but new they are some $$$.

Be *SURE* you get the *EXACT* right computer, with the *SAME* catch code as the one you remove.

Check the ignition switch on the steering column down under the dash. these where notorious for coming apart causing all sorts of weirdness. You should get 1-2 secs of fuel pump run when the key is turned on. Then run continuous after engine starts cranking, If you short the FP test port on the eec-Iv test connector to ground the pump should run continuously while the Key is on. I have ran them this way when the Ecu pump driver was bad. I have also seen FP relays that where bad. Causing the pumps not to run or not shutoff. I have a truck just like yours mine is called an F-superduty it has a Dana 80 rear axle. A straight front axle. And 10 bolt wheels.

ok I got the truck running and she sounds good with straight pipe. Ended up running a hot wire from the battery to a switch to the fuel pump and she fired rite up. got to wire some lights in and take it for a nice long ride for a shake down. going to give the truck a tune up a good ride then start fabing up a bed and then installing the brush guard/bumper. Its off an old brush truck.
