Locking hood release question

See the little hole in the face of the lock in the first picture? You insert a paper clip in that hole while turning the core to push a keeper out of the way. Then you can either pull it straight out or turn it a bit more then pull it out. You will need a working key or be able to pick the lock open. Lacking keys, a jiggler set of picks aren't expensive.

Thanks. I seen where he mentioned trying that, but had no luck.
my truck already has a locking hood handle. But I'm adding a second locking handle to function as a locking fuel shutoff for Cummins diesel engine im swapping in. Hoping to rekey it the same.
