Summit's SUM-G3434 are the ones that'll work on the middle holes. Trans dapt 9640 should also work. Their 9067's should work on the corners.

In my experience, just putting some 1/4" washers is enough to keep the bolts from pulling through so easy once the covers are straight...haven't found a need for spreaders yet.

Also, I stick the gasket to the cover with silicone and use grease between the gasket and head/manifold, even where the dab of silicone is, so that they will come back off without any hassle.

Seams like I have installed a million valve covers and mostly for racing applications where the valve covers have to be removed many times for valve timing. My method and it works 100% of the time is to use cork gaskets and put gasket sealer between the valve cover and the gasket. On the bottom side of the cork gasket I use grease. Don't over tighten. No leaks, and easy to remove the valve cover for timing adjustments.
