Rear Air Door Help

Hey guys - so the rear AC on my 2011 e350 quit working. It only blows hot air and nothing out of the top vents - only on the floor.

I'm thinking it's the rear air door. Does anyone have a part number that I can track down, and any type of instruction on how to replace that? I guess it could be the vacuum, but it seem that the door might be more prone to breaking.

I sure would appreciate any help.

Thanks!

Top vents only work with A/C and only blow cold air. Lower vents only work when the front air is blowing to the feet (and windshield?).

If yours do not work like this, I'll check the vacuum lines.

That's right. The rear air blows cold only when the front is set to max, ac, or vent. It blows hot only when set to heat and defrost.

adjusting the thermostat dial does not change the temp of the air in the back.

Yep, that's the way is supposed to be. The Econoline world of luxury.

So, do you have any pointers on how to fix this problem? I assume the rear air door has broken. I have not been able to find the part number to replace that door. I did find a vacuum motor control, but that did not contain the air door. Can anyone help me with that part? And also any pointers on getting that rear panel off and replaced.

I would have said that that is the way it is supposed to work, but comparing the owners manuals 2000 E150 , 2011 E350 It seems that after 2009 you can have hot or cold air comming form either one, floor or roof. In this case, I have no experience.
