'86 F350 7.5 manual 4x (rebuild mode!)
Clearly, anyone researching their Ford truck will inevitably find their way to this forum... and here I am!
High atop the mountains of Santa Cruz, CA (incorporated Santa Cruz County) where the air is clean and the weather is always opposite of any surrounding area within 1/4 mi.
Pulling my Blue Beast out of retirement (14 yrs) and repairing, replacing, updating and sprucing-up every bit that makes sense... so you may be seeing a lot of me here.
Many mundane questions... and so little time...

... sweet!
If you have the time, expertise and tools (never enough tools!) to do it... getting these workhorses back up and running is a fun adventure.
In the research I've done so far... I've found that starting with your model ('87) Ford changed things up a bit... a lot of the part reference numbers split between '86 and '87... so you're looking for a different parts list than I am... but they're out there!
First thing I did was to invest in a Factory Shop Manual (used, of course). Best $150 I've spent so far. Very detailed and complete.
Good luck with your restoration... and look forward to seeing you on the forum!
Cheers!
