I was thinking I'd offer $2500-3000... It runs and drives...reasonable?

I think $2000 to $2500 is right in there. What are other trucks similar going for?

Yes that is way more than I would pay, he would be doing good getting $2500.00 Can't see anyone buy it for $5000.

Ha, he said he would take my 1990 diesel F-250 in great shape as a partial trade...he's out of his mind.

Is that right, 1959 4x4 was only available in F250?

Around here, California, I would think that would be in the $3,500 range.

Sounds like he's done quite a bit to the truck, if it's solid I would pay that much here in the rust belt.

Well, having done much of what he has to my 59 F250 4x4, I don't think $4000-$5000 s out of line. You can pour more than that into one real fast just to get it drivable.
And FWIW, even a really nice IDI diesel would have a hard time bringing $4000-$5000 around here.

Down here, its generally true that you can get nice trucks for less than that, haha. If he said $3000, id be all over it.

Mine is a Montana truck too. After replacing hoses, belts, water pump, fuel pump, starter relay, freeze plugs, clutch master & slave, gas tank filler rubber, cap, float. and fixing all the wiring, cleaning mouse nests from heater, clutch, cab-replacing seat, doing complete tune up and carb rebuild and it still needs brakes, tires and a T-case and I wouldn't take 3 grand for it. I would have been better off spending 5 grand for one I could drive instead of $800 for one that needed brought back.
