I am looking at getting a Dashboss and wanted to see some more current input from people that use it. I am also looking at buying an iPad Air and RAM mount for the screen. I have the SCT X4 but looking for a bit bigger display to use in conjunction with it. Thanks in advance!
The ability to run two separates screens with 12 gauges on each screen for a total of 24 parameters is pretty awesome. I know we really only need to watch a few of them closely but it looks pretty sweet. I think I am going to just try it. I got two other members that use it to reply and they both love it.
I know what you mean, I use torque pro myself on occasion. Boost is just a calculation and mine tends to me low compared to the gauge, no pyrometer which is very important if you are towing or racing! Trans temps is also a calculation and no actual temperature sensor. For instance on TP I can only hit 20-22lbs of boost, however my gauge pegs near 30lbs. I pretty much got the same reading from my Edge Tuner when I had it on. To me you are seeing what the PCM is seeing and may not actually be what is going on in the real world.
Ive been using one for about three years now. I have a ould I-phone that I have just for that in the truck. I have regular gauges for water, oil, exhaust, boost and fuel pressurw. Its nice to compare the two at times. One thing with mine is the connection gets lost and you have to unplug the devise and plug it back in. That happens every once in a while. Not sure why. Other than that I think it works great.
