Hello, since I have a Leece/Neville alternator on my F-350, there are Ford decals under the hood warning me that I only can use a Motorcraft E8US-8620-BA belt,
Since I live in Europe, and we can't find any here, I wonder if any of you could help to determine the physical sizes, or maybe a Gates reference number?
Well, yes you're right.
Thanks, because I couldn't find that post again.
With all those numbers I hadn't had any luck, and it turned out to be as I wrote before.
but with the link you provided, I found something; AVx13x1450LA
I go and try again with this dimension.
But since this was my last reaction:
Then I went with my list of gates numbers; 9630,9580,9600 and 7320 to this farmershop, where they sell everything from plows to silo's and tractortrailers etc. and they couldn't deal with these numbers either???
to me it seems I landed in the country of the Idiots, whatever I try, every time they look as if they see water burning!?!
Everytime if here is something out of the ordinary, you cannot get it or get it done!
Anyway, thanks for the help, I'll see what I can find.
13mm or 1/2" is a very uncommon size here, most is 10mm.
I'm busy with that right away.
First I try not too far away, if that doesn't work, I still can call these guys on the other side of the pond (the ones you mentioned).
Thanks.
With the E8US-8620-BA number I went to the local FORD dealer, and they ordered me a belt. when they told me to come and get it, I got a GATES XL 9580 green belt, and after installation on my truck it seemed too long, I just got out of the reach of the spanner, and all that has as a result that when I start the engine, the belt slips.
That's a big downer, after all the effort and time invested
too long, just by a bit
another thing, the belt from the (Leece-Neville) dynamo (ambu package) to the vacuum pomp is a small belt about 10mm but that one as also already bottoming out at the pulley's, should I try to find a 13mm one for that one also?
