Is the Blue Def nozzle the same as the Ford?

Like the title says - should I buy at least one of the Ford jugs to get the nozzle, or are the others just as good/the same?

Buy one from because it will not overfill your tank, all the others I have used will run until the tank overflows.

You can buy just the nozzle from Ford. Agree with 99150 - All other nozzles I have used, do not stop when full, just overflow and make a mess.

I bought a Ford one from Amazon. I gave it to my brother after I deleted. Great way to fill.

ford is the only one that will create the right seal and let the air through.

When you turn the jug upside down it will fill till full and then stop.

When you turn the jug right side up it will stay connected and drain out of the spout without spilling.

Using the ford spout will not overfill the tank. Very important for winter use since the def will freeze.

Also, When finished, wash out the Ford nozzle. The DEF can crystallize and it will not flow properly. You might think the tank is full when it isn't. I wash mine out after each use with some sterilize bottle water.

can 1 of yall post a pic of this. I'm at 5600mi and my OBC says that I'm under 1/2 full. So I know that I will be refilling soon. I'm waiting till the pop-up tell me I'm at 500mi till empty before I refill.

Thanks,
Hump

I had a problem earlier in the year when my DEF tank wouldn't take fluid even though it wasn't full. The Ford spout let me lock it in place and then use the pressure to fill it. No idea why it has blocked but it hasn't done it since. I was away from home (where I'd left the Ford spout) so I had to buy another.

Just a comment. The nozzle does not come with the DEF you buy from FORD. You need to get it separate but then you can use it with any DEF containers.

Great info. Didn't even know Ford offered this. I have spilled DEF fluid before and scrambled for the hose before it ate down to the metal.
Just ordered it off Amazon and look forward to not having that issue any longer.

I would not fill till <200 to empty myself. I never do till it gets much closer to empty.

I go to the Kenworth Truck Dealer and fill from their pumps. Cheaper and its fresh and I don't spill it. They do and we rinse it off Quick!
